KOREAN LITERATURE
- is the body of literature produced
in the Korean language. For much of
Korea's 1,500 years of literary
history, it was written in Hanja.
History
(The early Joseon period)
- Yongbi eocheonga literally means "Songs of
the Dragons Flying to Heaven".
- Sejong the Great as an official recognition of
the Joseon dynasty and its ancestral heritage
as the forerunners of Joseon, the Golden Age
of Korea. The Songs were composed through
the efforts of a committee
of Confucian philologistsand literati in the
form of 125 cantos.
