, 2016 – Delray Beach resident and businessman, Gordon Tredgold has just had his book, FAST: 4
principles every business needs to achieve success and drive results nominated for this year’s Management Book of the Year prize
which was announced today by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and the British Library in the U.K.
The 25-strong shortlist for the overall £5,000 ($6200) prize - sponsored by Henley Business School – reflects and offers guidance on
the challenges professional leaders face in managing multi-generational workforces increasingly shaped by technology and engaged
through ethics.
FAST: 4 principles every business needs to achieve success and drive results, published by Next Century, has been shortlisted in the
Practical Manager category. ‘FAST’ is a book created to give people the keys to success in a very simple fashion. Gordon Tredgold is a
former business and IT transformation and turnaround expert who has successfully delivered $100m programs, run $300m
departments and led teams of 1000 staff for Fortune 100 companies. He is currently an International speaker, published author,
Executive and Business coach and contributing writer for Huffington Post, Inc. Magazine and Entrepreneur Magazine. His mission is to
assist people deliver amazing results.
Tregold said: “I feel very honored and humbled for having my book nominated. It’s a great feeling to know that your work is being
acknowledged as well as valued by organizations who hold such high standards for the books they choose to be nominated.”
The competition has been split in to five categories: Management Futures; Innovation and Entrepreneurship; Practical Manager;
Commuter’s Read; and Management and Leadership Textbook. The winner of each category, as well as the overall winner will be
announced at an awards evening at the British Library on 6 February 2016 – with the winning author taking home a £5,000 prize.
