1. Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you
feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the
full product?
2. Super imposed the image over the masthead. I also now know what
different features are important to include on my magazine, for example a
range of cover lines, date, price, barcode and so on… so that my magazine
looks full and busy. I learned how to manipulate text to suit the style of
my magazine, and then learning how to keep that style throughout.
Looking back and your preliminary task, what do you
feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the
full product?
I feel like I have come a long way since my first
attempt at making a my magazine in the preliminary
task. The first time I tried making a magazine, hadn’t
really looked at the features of existing magazine at
all, so a lot of features were either missing or not as
the should be. For example, on my college magazine
front cover, I didn’t include that many cover lines,
there were only two. But I now know that there
should be a lot more on the cover in order to fill the
blank space and make the magazine look busy. I also

text in Photoshop, so my college magazine lacks
exciting, bold text like magazines normally have.
Now I know how to manipulate images so that my
magazine looks professional, like when I

for a magazine contents page to be interesting, I needed to have a range of
different images that would work along side a list longer list of different
articles. There also needed to be a clear layout so that the page looks
clearly presented and tidy. These are all things I now know I need to do to
create a good magazine, and I have kept them all in mind when creating
my final product.
Looking back and your preliminary task, what do you
feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the
full product?
At the beginning I
didn’t know that much
about how to create a
good contents page
because I started it
having done no
previous research on it,
so my first contents
page way very poor. It
lacked cover stories, a
solid layout and an sets
of interesting images.
