The HK Systems’ Freezer Rated AGV is designed to replace all the functions performed by a conventional
fork lift in the harshest freezer environments. HK Systems has taken the extremely reliable and user
friendly Fork Style Automated Guided Vehicle design and made it rugged enough to perform in the most
extreme working conditions. Our Freezer Rated AGV is designed in conjunction with premier hardware
providers to consistently operate in temperatures down to -20°F.
In order to attain operation capability in these extreme conditions, HK Systems utilized our long history
providing AS/RS, conveyor, and control systems in freezer applications. Using this experience as a
guideline we have upgraded several systems to include: insulated and heated electrical enclosure,
upgraded hydraulic system, upgraded navigation laser, freezer rated wiring and safety systems.
HK Systems’ Fork AGVs, with capacities to 5,500 lbs. and lift heights to 21 feet, are ideal for work in
process, high rise staging, and finished goods transportation. Fork vehicles can also incorporate a bar
code or RFID reader to provide product identification and real time load tracking. In addition, the
HK counterbalance design eliminates the limitations of outrigger designs. These added benefits are key
ingredients for a fully integrated and automated material delivery system.

CONTROL SYSTEMS
All HK Systems’ AGVs are controlled and monitored by a

(ACS) with real time graphical display. Continuous RF
communication between system and vehicles provide
constant monitoring and traffic control of all vehicles in
the system. Redundant PC’s offer a secure approach to
system availability.
