Project: Production of 2, 3 butane-diol from rice straw.

Description: This Final year project is to achieve the production of 2, 3 butane diol with
the help of rice straw which will be used as an alternative for the non-
conventional fuel.
SUMMER TRAINING
Did summer training in Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO) a unit of
Indian Railways, Lucknow division for 45 days.
Brief: Received excellent exposure on testing of materials and equipment which are used
by Indian Railways for their efficient functioning. Was able to perform tests and
study at Metallurgical & Chemical Department of RDSO on following divisions:
 Lubricants and Tribology Section
 Paints and corrosion Engineering
 Rubber and plastic Testing

Received awareness on testing as per the international and Indian Railways
specifications and standards. Also, studied about the handling of heavy testing
equipment and their working.
