Sabine Mondestin was born in Montreal, Quebec. From a young age, she showed an interest in both acting and writing. At nine years old she started acting on stage, being given many different roles. but Sabine became truly successful at stage acting in the role of Cleopatra, which she played over the course of four years. At 17 Sabine won a prize at the National Board of Canada (in Montreal: Office National du Film) for one of her fictional stories called “10 Seconds Before I Die “.
