Brief Introduction
 This is from a single loaf of bread
 Standard loaf implying – 20 slices of single loaf
costing approx KSh. 45 ( 0.50 USD)

4. Creating More Value from Bread
 Take 10 slices of the 20.
 Grill these slices.
 Make sandwiches from the 10 slices as follows
 2 slices – Vegetable sandwich
 2 slices – Meat sandwich
 2 slices – Peanut butter sandwich
 2 slices – Strawberry sandwich
 2 slices – Honey sandwich
Each of these sandwiches would then be sold at KSh.
30 each making it a total of KSh. 150.

 From the remaining 10 slices, dry them for a
day or two – sunlight is best, but grilling can
also work
 Pound these 10 slices of bread into bread
crumbs and divide this into small portions of
about 50 grams making 4 portions {1 Loaf is
approx. 400grams thus 10 slices will be 200
grams}
 Sell these home-made bread crumbs at KSh.
20 per packet thus 4 x 20 = 80

The total sales from sandwiches and the bread
crumbs is thus;
130 + 80 = 230
