Founded in 2001 as the distribution point for
Modulex in South Africa, Mgwezi quickly
established itself as a market leader in
signage and wayfinding solutions. In just a
few short years,our client portfolio included
many of South African’s top brands and most
recognised public institutions. In 2006,
following a merger with manufacturing
giant, Plastic Sign Manufactures, Mgwezi
extended its product offerings to include
custom manufacture, making it one of the
fastest growing, as well as progressive,
signagecompaniesinSouthernAfrica.
Following on this success, recognising
market trends and the changing role of
signage, in early 2007, Mgwezi extended its
portfolio to include merchandising and POS
elements.
Industry and design trends were already
forging a creative upsurge in the elements of
signagedesign.
Multi-dimensional shop fronts,the design of
signage solutions as par t of the
merchandising theme, and the creative use
of materials, finishes and colours in signage
manufacture all form part of this new“multi-
sensorial” designapproach.
As our clients were looking for ways to
differentiate themselves from their
competitors and enhance their retail
experience, so we looked at unique and
creative ways to create a distinct
environment. By extending our product
portfolio, this diversity in product design,
manufacture and application, is an effective

INDUSTRIALISATION

From concept to reality - with out design and production teams located at the same

overseeing the production of you prototypes, mgwezi has developed an in-house
ideas LAB were we can test the functionality and impact of brand and signage
elements before deploying the finished product to market.
PRODUCT PROTOTYPING

Operating out of our company owned 4,500m2 facility comprising of 12 production
departments, equipped with the latest sophisticated machinery, manned by teams of
skilled specialists will ensure your project is delivered on-time and within budget.
Production is run through a central intranet system where jobs are tracked and
quality guaranteed.
PRODUCTION

With 7 full time installation crews supported by tried and tested contract riggers we
have the capacity to deliver both national and regional brand and signage roll-outs,
so whether you want wall paper in Lagos or a pylon installed in Lydenburg we have
you covered.
INSTALLATION

From concept to reality, our team of highly trained personnel use cutting edge
machinery to manufacture exceptional external signage from the smallest door plate
to gigantic illuminated pylons.
