❖Primary mean of communication.
❖efficient and developed tool used to carrying out thought process
(example; when one listen or read the words or observe gestures in
any language, one is stimulated to think).
❖It allow to broadens our thinking.
❖We interpret and organize reality through language.

3. THINKING
❖Is a kind of mental process that carry manipulative information like;
problem solving reason, decision making, concepts.
❖Act of thinking produce more thoughts.
❖A thought maybe an idea, image, sound or even emotional feeling.

❖It states the idea that if person’s language has no words for a particular concept
then he/she would not able to understand the concept, which is untrue.

how could a work be translated from one language to another? But

18. ❖ If we confine ourselves to perceptual or ideational thinking that merely involves
images, our thinking would remain at a relatively low level. Through language
we can develop complex and abstract concepts.
❖Language like thought is directed to some purpose or goal. They have the
capacity of freezing or enlarging our thoughts.
❖It allow new learning to be communicated to others and saved for future
generations.
❖Language provides us with categories that use to construct our view of people
and events in the world. Consequently language influence the thought produces.
