Rosanne Foust has served as the president and CEO of the San Mateo County Economic Development Association for seven years. She recently moderated a panel at the Connect 15 conference, which draws civic and technology leaders to discuss how technology can encourage civic participation. This year's conference covered topics on how technology helps education, nonprofits and government operate more effectively, including panels on data and private solutions for government issues. 2.  Based in Belmont, California, Rosanne Foust has served as
president and chief executive officer of the San Mateo County
Economic Development Association (SAMCEDA) for the last
seven years. Recently, Rosanne Foust moderated a panel
during the SAMCEDA-supported Connect 15 conference.
For the last three years, the Connect conference has drawn
professional and civic leaders from across California’s Silicon
Valley, facilitating discussion on how technology can
encourage local residents to more actively participate in
government. On November 5, 2015, SAMCEDA Assemblyman
Kevin Mullin and Supervisor Warren Slocum hosted Connect
15 at GSVlabs in Redwood City.

3.  This year’s conference covered a wide range of
topics on the technological developments that can
help entities in the education, nonprofit, and
government sectors operate more effectively than
in the past. Throughout the event, guests had the
opportunity to attend a number of panels, on topics
including data and privatized solutions to
government issues. In addition, Ms. Foust
moderated a session entitled “If It Ain’t Mobile, It’s
Broken,” which addressed the government
services that officials should implement across
mobile devices.
