J. S. Rohan Savarimuttu, (1976- ), a Belgium born Jaffna Tamil refugee from Sri Lanka at present living in India had had schooling through Rudolf Steiner's educational system in Belgium (Europe) and Macaulay's educational system in India (Asia); obtained M.A., in English Literature, M.A., in Religion and Philosophy, M.Sc., in Counselling and Psychotherapy, M.Phil., in English Literature, and has been awarded Ph.D., for his doctoral thesis entitled "C. S. Lewis' The Chronicles of Narnia: A Hermeneutical Reading". Apart from this he has also completed Certificate in Teaching of English as a Second Language (CTE), Post Graduate Diploma in Higher Education (PGDHE), and Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDIM). He has held various teaching positions in English at The American College & M. K. U. College, Madurai; and M. K. U. College, Aundipatti; apart from having served as the Assistant Editor of the international Gandhian bimonthly journal Ahimsa Nonviolence; for more than five years helped a Gandhian movement Ekta Parishad—India in the state of Tamil Nadu as a volunteer & documentalist and also monitored the tsunami activities in Tamil Nadu on its behalf.
