I did my first degree in Mathematics at the Faculty of Science of the National and Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM, 1983-86), a Master on Computer Science at the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education at Cuernavaca, Mexico (ITESM, 1993-94) and a PhD in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Edinburgh (1996-2000). I have worked in many places. In 1994 I entered to the (Mexican) Electric Power Research Institute (IIE) as a researcher.
