Education

An active research scientist and professor, Rina Tannenbaum, D. Sc., currently researches and teaches at the University of Alabama, Birmingham’s Department of Biomedical Engineering and the School of Medicine. Rina Tannenbaum also works as a Senior Scientist in both the university’s Experimental Therapeutics Program and the BioMatrix Engineering and Regenerative Medicine Center. Rina Tannenbaum attended the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Physics in 1974. She went on to receive her Master of Science in Polymer Physical Chemistry from the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel.
