                               The word roots -mit- and -mis- both mean “send.”

2       omit          verb        to leave out

3       missionary    noun        a person who is sent out to teach the religion of a group

4       emit          verb        send out; give off

5       remittance    noun        the sending of money to someone

6       emissary      noun        ambassador or representative sent on a mission

7       permission    noun        consent or authorization for something

8       transmit      verb        send from one place to another

9       admit         verb        to agree or confess that something is true

10      premise       noun        a statement that is accepted as being true
