  • 1) This is a very good and meaningful show indeed. Congrats and tnx.
    2) I ve seen different versions of the same THEME in SS as well in those viral mails.
    3) It is not only for parents to spend time with their children but the for grown up and working children to find and spend time with their older parents.
    4) Most ppl WANT to have happy and satisfying relationships. The same guys put in hard work at workplace and expect their fellow colleagues to do the same. Thus a vicious circle is formed from which no one can get out. So advising ppl to find a balance between work and life is going to lead nowhere unless one is able to tell HOW. Just saying focus less on earning money is mere preaching at others. We all know what we want.. Only most of us dont know HOW to get them.
    5) PL NOTE THIS IS NO CRITICISM OF YOUR SLIDES AT ALL. I am just sharing my thoughts in the context provided by you. In fact for providing this context I am grateful to you.
    6) It is nice you have not ended with the usual good intentioned request to share the slides with others but aksed that time to be spent with the loved ones. This is exactly what I think a more sensitive and practical suggestion!

Rs100 By Rcdohare

  1. 1. Rs. 100
  2. 2. A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the door.
  3. 3. “ Daddy, may I ask you a question?” “ Yes sure, what is it?” replied the man
  4. 4. “ Daddy, how much do you make an hour?” “ that’s none of your business, why do you ask such a thing?” the man said angrily. “ I just want to know, please tell me, how much do you make an hour?” pleaded the little boy.
  5. 5. “ if you must know, I make Rs.100 an hour” “ Oh,” the little boy replied, with his head down, looking up, he said, “ dad, may I please borrow Rs.50?”
  6. 6. The father was furious, “ if the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed, think about why you are being so selfish.” “ I work long hard hours everyday and don’t have time for such this childish behavior.”
  7. 7. The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door. The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy’s questions.
  8. 8. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money? After about an hour or so, the had calmed down, and started to think hey may have been a little hard on his son. Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that Rs.50 and he really didn’t ask for money very often.
  9. 9. The man went to the door of the little boy’s room and opened the door. “ are you asleep, son?” he asked. “ no daddy, I’m awake” replied the boy. “ I’ve been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier,” said the man.
  10. 10. “ It’s been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here’s the Rs.50 you asked for.” The little boy sat straight up, smiling. “Oh, thank you daddy!” he yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills.
  11. 11. The man, seeing that the boy already had money, started to get angry again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, then looked up at his father. “ Why do you want more money if you already have some?” the father grumble.
  12. 12. “ because I didn’t have enough, but now I do,” the little boy replied. “ daddy, I have Rs.100 now, can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow, I would like to have dinner with you.”
  13. 13. Share this story with someone you like…..but even better, share Rs.100 worth of time with someone you love.
  14. 14. Its just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts .
