CHALLENGE
ECOLUXE Lounge is a luxury destination experience created by Debbie Durkin, Los Angeles’ leading sustainable TV/Film product
placement veteran producer, in its 17th year, that connects non-profit causes and brands with social impact, aligning them with top-tier
celebrities, pop culture social media personalities, world-class athletes, music artists, TV network executives, film producers and media.
Debbie and her creative team were tasked with cultivating media coverage and securing VIP talent attendance during the film festival in
partnership with ABC4 TV News anchors who interview the film premiere stars and producers. Debbie strictly adhered to current health
mandates, which ensured the health safety of everyone. With Debbie, her team’s years of celebrity and media connections and strong
relationships in the entertainment industry, they combined forces to broaden awareness for ECOLUXE Lounge, filmmakers, stars, and
participating brand sponsors. We utilized our nationwide and global network to expand visibility in the media, elevating brand awareness
across a variety of mediums.
STRATEGY
To distinguish ECOLUXE Lounge as more than an event celebrating the world’s top independent film festival amongst the many other
experiences that have been taking place, we devised a smart strategy that appealed to talent, media, influencers and filmmakers alike. In
order to facilitate this narrative to members of the press, we implemented our network of media gatekeepers to effectively reach the
participant’s key audiences and shine a light on how brands can activate experientially in a safe way winding down from COVID-19. Our
tactics not only targeted the loyal and devoted following that ECOLUXE Lounge has cultivated over the years, but also expanded into a
newfound global audience as well.
RESULTS
Our team developed a strategic communications roadmap for ECOLUXE Lounge which proved to be an absolute success, as we were
able to secure coverage from top-tier media on behalf of the event and all brands involved. As a result of our efforts, we secured over
12 billion media impressions. Highlights included, but were not limited to media placements broadcast, print, online, streaming
TV, and social media in outlets such as: Yahoo! Entertainment, Hollywood Life, The WRAP, iHeartRadio, Hollywood Reporter, ABC4
TV News, Spectrum News, Variety, FOX news, In Touch, EXTRA!, US Weekly, E! News, and more.
