The Philippine Medical Society of Florida, East Coast Chapter, was established in 1978 to contribute to the improvement of the quality of health care. In its younger days, PMS served as a conduit for continuing medical education for its members and other medical professionals. It later participated in and spearheaded medical missions and outreach programs for the less fortunate in Florida and the Philippines.
