The Dawson Food Bank is located at the Brown Church on 5th Street across from the RV Park and is open every Tuesday from 12 to 2PM. Donations can be dropped off in the box on the church porch. The Dawson District Renewable Resource Council meets at Madame Trembley's on 3rd and King Street and their mandate is to preserve and enhance the renewable resource economy. Alcoholics Anonymous groups meet on Fridays, Saturdays and Thursdays at various locations in Dawson City. The City of Dawson offers email newsletters with information on city office news, recreation news and tenders. The Yukon Order of Pioneers Lodge #1 rents their hall which seats 100 people. Council
The Dawson District Renewable Resource Council is a council
formed under the Umbrella Final Agreement. In keeping with
section 16.1.1.2 of the Tr'ondëk Hwëch’in Final Agreement, our
mandate is “to preserve and enhance the renewable resource
economy”. Public input is very important to the Council and you are
welcome to drop in at our office in Madame Trembley’s, 3rd
& King, or
approach any of the following members with concerns you might
have.
