 Time is named as muhurta
in Ayurveda.
 It is said that 30 muhurtas
constitute a day and night.
 A muhurta is equal to 2
Ghadiyas or 48 minutes.

(time of Brahma) is a period
(muhurta).
 2nd last muhurta out of 30
muhurtas is known as
Brahma muhurta.

 This time is known as Brahma muhurat
because this is the perfect time for
gaining Brahma Gyan.
