  3. When talking about pension schemes we like to address the most important thing first which is “how much will it cost me”
  4. Now we’d like to show you the breakdown of how pension contributions are paid
  5. So for anyone who has been told pensions are a waste of money this next slide we think has a strong argument against that statement !
  6. So, the other important bit is what will you get back ? Using the previous example of a lady aged 30 paying 5% and AES paying 10% heres an indication of the potential returns at retirement. This is using the lowest of the assumptions for investment return which is 5%
  7. This slide shows how the figures difference assuming 7% growth – huge difference !! – this also shows how importantant it is to keep reviewing your plan to ensure it is on track and this is where we feel we will be able to help you.
  8. When recommending a pension provider to an employer we start by looking at 3 main areas :
  9. Scottish Equitable were acquired by AEGON a few years ago who are one of the worlds strongest pension offices
  10. Charges – means what will come out of my fund to pay for the provider to run eth scheme. In the bad old days these charges were excessive to say the least !
