Have you got an interview coming up? Interviews can be overwhelming, causing our nervousness to get the better of us. While it's normal to feel nervous you don't need to let that consume you. Here's 3 tips to appear confident in your next interview. Before you know it, those nerves will be gone 😉 👀 Maintain eye contact: Staying engaged in the conversation and maintaining eye contact with the interviewer can be uncomfortable if you're feeling nervous. If you struggle with this, a great tip is to look at the space between someone's eyes. It will seem like you're looking directly at them. ✋🏻 Don't fidget: Fidgeting is normal when you're nervous, but it can be distracting in an interview. Lock your hands together on your lap or the table in front of you. 🗣 Talk slowly: We tend to talk fast and ramble our words when we're nervous. To stop this, take a deep breathe and try to slow your breathing as you speak. Breathing slowly directly tells our brain that everything is okay, and our speech will become slower. Remember, everything can be awkward the first time you're doing it. You're learning something new, and it takes time to get comfortable.
