The Carnival of Venice is an annual festival held in Venice, Italy each year before Lent. It typically runs from the day after Epiphany until Mardi Gras (Shrove Tuesday), the day before Ash Wednesday. During the Carnival, there are elaborate masked balls and events throughout the city, as well as concerts and other entertainment for tourists and Venetians alike to enjoy.
