An awareness program on drug abuse prevention was held at J.N. Medical College on February 27, 2020 for school teachers. The program was a collaborative effort between the Faculty of Medicine at Aligarh Muslim University and the National Institute of Social Defence, under the National Action Plan for Drug Demand Reduction 2019-20. It was led by Prof. R. Maheshwari as the project in charge, Prof. M. Mobarak Hossain as the project co-ordinator, and Dr. Saira Mehnaz, Dr. Ali Jafar Abedi, and Dr. Anwar Siddiqui as principal and co-principal investigators.
