2. Active and Passive Voice
Voice : The voice of a verb tells wether the subject of the
sentence performs or receives the action. In English there are
two voices, passive and active
Active Voice : In active voice , the subject performs the
action expressed the verb
Example : The president wrote a novel
Passive Voice : In passive voice, the subject receives the
action expressed by the verb
Example : A novel was written by the President
Forming tenses of passive verbs
The passive voice always consists of two part :
a form of the verb “to be+past participle”
example : it is cleaned
