1. Midterm Reflection
Spanish III 3rd quarter
In Spanish this quarter I have learned to talk more in Spanish. I can now talk about the
world news as well as the local news in Spanish. I can give details relating to news
reports and articles. I have also learned to talk about my neighborhood and the city that
I live in. I can talk about what I can do in my neighborhood and my city. I can also speak
about as well as write about events that I have gone to in my city, like; ‘going to an art
gallery’ or ‘going to the theater’. In my Spanish class I have also worked a lot with where
me and my family can go on vacation and what we can do there, like going to the beach
and playing volleyball. I can also talk about famous people; Enrique Iglesias, Pablo
Picasso and René Magritte.
In grammar I have learned to conjugate verbs. I can now conjugate verbs in
present tense, imperfect tense, preterite tense, present progressive, past participle and
pluperfect. This is one example of ‘empezar’ in ‘yo’ form; empiezo, estoy empezando,
empecé, emezaba, estaba empezando, he empezado, había empezado.
I enjoyed working with the computer and the blog. Even though there where
much trouble with the blogs and all the websites I still feel like it was fun working with
them and putting the recordings, pages documents and the keynotes on there. I love
working with the computer and the internet.
2. I also need to improve in class. I need to participate more in class and talk more
Spanish. My strategies to performing better in my Spanish class is to go to tutoring,
working harder in class and studying more especially with grammar.
