The Louisiana Gulf Coast Oil Exposition (LAGCOE) is the leading biennial oil & gas conference and
exhibition focused on the Gulf of Mexico with over 16,400 delegates and 450 exhibitors from 40
countries in 2015.
Market Opportunities
Louisiana is home to thousands of energy industry companies
including many global players
Crude oil production in US Gulf of Mexico reached 1.7 million b/d in
2017 and is forecast to rise to 1.9 million b/d in 2018
Over 45% of total US refining capacity and 51% of total US gas
processing capacity is located along the Gulf coast
Refining and LNG export capacity along the Gulf coast is forecast
to increase significantly
Supply chain opportunities exist across all oil & gas disciplines including
subsea, asset operations and decommissioning

Eligibility Criteria
Places on the trade mission will be allocated to companies currently working with Scottish Enterprise, Scottish Development
International or Business Gateway as well as appropriate Scottish academic institutions. Any remaining places on the mission will
be allocated on a first-come, first serve basis.
