2. Definición: Nefritis TI y TINU
• Trastornos que producen inflamación del
intersticio e injuria tubular.
– 1ria: No hay daño vascular ni glomerular.
– 2ria: ocasionada por enf. vascular, gl. o sistémica.
• TINU, descripto den 1975, es un síndrome
infrecuente en el que hay inflamación del
intersticio renal y la úvea del ojo.
– 200 casos reportados en la literatura.
3. Clasificación de Nefritis TI
• Puede ser aguda o crónica.
• Por la injuria: inmune, o no-inmune; primaria o
secundaria.

4. Características Histológicas Injuria TI
• Independientemente de la categoría, los
hallazgos histopatológicos son muy similares.

8. Patogenia
• Patogenia desconocida: inmune? infecciosa?
• El epitelio tubular y el epitelio ciliar uveal
comparten muchas funciones.
• Es coherente que puedan compartir
antígenos, y que haya reacciones cruzadas
entre ellos.
• En 2008 se publicó un reporte de caso en el
que se detectó un Auto-Ac…

Editor's Notes
Renal tubular and ciliary body epithelia share several functions, including those pertaining to electrolyte transporters sensi- tive to carbonic anhydrase inhibitors. It is conceivable that they share closely related antigens that account for a cross- reactivity. Specific basement membrane antigens have been found to be immunogenic in animal models of acute inter- stitial nephritis, and some patients with acute interstitial nephritis express antibodies to the tubular basement mem- branes (TBMs) [4]. Immunofluorescence using sera from patients with anti-TBM nephritis revealed their localization in the TBMs of the proximal and, to a lesser extent, the distal
