Sanctuary which covers 486 sq km and the Panchmarhi Sanctuary at 417 sq km. In 1999 the park became a
part of the Tiger Project Network and was called the Bodi-Satpura Tiger Reserve, now just called the
Satpura Tiger Reserve. It is not just a place to spottigers and explore plants and animals. There are also
areas of archaeological interest with different rock shelters, and geologists can explore the gorge and
sandstonepeaks. It is rich in biodiversity and plays an important role in conservation efforts for many
different species of plants, birds, mammals and reptiles.
