 The food colorants cochineal and carmine contain ground
up bugs to add to the coloring.
 Red colored ingestible and cosmetics might contain
things called cochineal and carmine which origins are
quite disgusting.
 Cochineal comes from the crushed up carcasses of South
and Central American bugs.

 It’s true. Red dyes and food colorants do contain the
crushed up carcasses of dead insects.
