To do so, they need to be effective in their role. As an organization grows, often the board will, too, which makes it essential to recruit skilled board members. Systems still need to be in place to ensure board members receive orientation, training, evaluation, and any other necessary steps to ensure the board is effective.

Explain whether you anticipate greater demands for boards and their members to be more accountable (or accountable in different way) than is the case today. If so, how? Please explain your perspective and defend it with evidence from the field or from the literature.
