The PDF slide show is an intro. to the Lean Operations course I teach at the graduate level at USC. My particular approach to Lean is more instructive of how to BE Lean, not DO Lean. The example in the slides is from “The Resilient Enterprise” by Yossi Sheffi. I think, “Resilient Enterprise” describes Lean best. The story tracks a minor incident in Albuquerque NM to its implications for a global cellular phone manufacturer.
