Publishing is an essential aspect of science and should be a rewarding experience for authors, editors, reviewers and readers alike. I believe there should be as little barriers as possible to publish the results of good scientific research, access to research output should be open and universal because we cannot predict the way how today’s fact will be used tomorrow. Maintaining a balance between the interests of science, business and society is key here, and I see it as my role to bring all together with great publications!
