Dr. Massimo Marino is a physicist/computer scientist with over 17 years of experience in scientific research. He worked at CERN from 1988 - the European Laboratory for High Energy Physics (HEP) - and from 1997 was staff with the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in California (USA) within the High Performance Computing Group of the NERSC department, working with Stanford's SLAC and from 2001 again with CERN. His research activity spanned from detector R&D to offline analysis framework development and he collaborated with projects LAA, RD41, LHC/CMS at CERN, and BaBar experiment at SLAC and LBNL US-Atlas for the LHC/Atlas experiment at CERN till September 2005.
