Dear sir/ Madam,
I would like to use your song Diva by Beyoncé in my music video for my A2 media course work.
I would be very grateful if you allowed me the copyright premises to use that song. I will not claim
the song is of my own production or that I played any part in the making of the music video.
At school I have learnt about copyright permissions and realise how important it is to ensure the
correct knowledge and application on copy right In the production industry. I realise how important
it is to apply for copy right permission and in writing this letter I am doing so.
Copyrighting is a useful infringement besides protecting your work, registering your copyright
makes it easier for a potential infringer to track you down and legitimately obtain a license to use
your work, avoiding the hassle of litigation.
During my project I will be creating a music video to Beyoncé’ssong; I will be doing this in and
outside of school time with my colleague.
