Worked in computer and software systems for the past 30 years. Taught mainly in the embedded systems and digital systems areas. Working now to see remote laboratories widely adopted around the world. Now working on the UQx project, our local contribution to the edX consortium. Particular interests in incorporating remote laboratories in MOOCs, and in the evaluation of MOOCs. Specialties: Embedded systems design, real-time messaging, sensors and sensor networks, distributed collaborative user interfaces, machine learning.
