A Hungarian man was a bank robber and ice hockey goalie who committed a string of "gentleman robberies" in Budapest in the 1990s while also working as a goaltender, becoming infamous as a folk hero in Hungary symbolic of the times. He was eventually caught and imprisoned for about 12 years before being released in 2012, and his story was later made into a book.
