Luca Ascari is a dynamic entrepreneur, with strong passions for both business development and research. In 2000 Luca graduated in Electrical Engineering (MS Thesis in digital image processing at Philips Research Labs), and joined Marconi Photonics (R&D Lab) as optoelectronic hardware designer. In 2002 he left this safe and well paid position to begin the adventure of a PhD at Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, Pisa (I). His main research activity was the development of a vision-based robotic platform for spinal neuroendoscopy, in the framework of a EU project.
