I am essentially a teacher and a writer, but also a researcher, an adviser, a founder of a non-profit organization, a community volunteer, Girl Scout leader, basketball coach, keeper of finances, maintainer of a tribe of girls and a closet comedian. I am usually teaching two to three courses at a time across 2-3 campuses, while prepping for another one or two, fund raising, grant writing and planning intervention strategies and research with CHP team members for our work locally and in Sierra Leone, attending committee meetings, trying to write (a blog, articles, the next book), advising AIP students and student organizations at UCSD, writing countless letters of recommendation, applying...
