Innovation Workshop China - calling all SME Point of Care Diagnostics Companies

The Yorkshire and Humber Academic Health Science Network (AHSN0 is seeking innovative SMEs
from the Point of Care Diagnostics sector to join their Open Innovation Workshop in China.
The workshop will take place from Sunday 19th
July to Friday 24th
July and participants will be
required to travel to China on the Saturday (18th
). The workshop will be delivered in partnership with
the University of Bradford. It will foster collaborations between leading UK and Chinese companies
and entrepreneurial scientists, in order to create funded proof of concept projects, with the ultimate
aim of establishing innovative and jointly-owned UK-China new technologies and companies, and
new market opportunities. Proof of concept projects receive up to £400,000 of funding from Chinese
local government and partners and run for up to 2 years. Funds secured can be spent either in China
or the UK, as best serves the requirements of a project.
Successful SMEs will be sponsored to attend the workshop. This will include a £750 contribution to
travel costs plus all costs of attending the event in China and open innovation programme
management.
