Spain has many famous Easter traditions, especially in the south. Three cities highlighted are Seville, Zamora, and Logroño. Seville has 57 brotherhoods that participate in daily processions during Easter week, with the most famous being the Virgin of the Macarena. Zamora, in northern Spain, has 17 brotherhoods and a 800-year old Easter tradition that is internationally renowned, like Seville. The most famous Zamora procession features groups of penitents. In Logroño, the main Easter procession depicts Jesus and Mary meeting, though Easter is more locally significant there than famous. are 17 brotherhoods. This feast is made in Zamora from 800 years . It is
internationally famous like that of Sevilla. The most famous procession in Zamora
is of Steps, all the Steps go out togheter.

4. Easter in Logroño
• Logroño isn´t famous for his Easter, but is very important for the people of
Logroño. There are 11 brotherhoods in Logroño. The most famous procession in
Logroño of the Meeting. In this procession, Jesus and the Virgin Marie are meet

5. Easter in my village
• In my village Aras, also celebrate the Easter. There are one brotherhood, of the
Veracruz. This brotherhood prepare a procession the day of Holy Friday. Before,
are prepareted a stage play : the Passion of Aras. At the present only has a
procession, this also is the most famous in the village
