1. Here is a sweet method that I stumbled across a while back and the
response I got absolutely amazed me.
The fact that you are reading this, you are ahead of 99% of
‘marketers’ out there.
What do I mean by this?
Outside of the Internet Marketing niche, you would be shocked at
how little people know.
Even if they have a site and/or an optin list, that doesn’t mean they
know what they are doing.
So what is this ‘secret traffic method’?
There are literally 1000’s of list owners out there that have fresh lists
that are not bombarded daily with offers.
Some of them don’t really mail their lists.
Here is the one thing that we know though.
If they have an email list, they have or at least had traffic.
We are going to ask them for it.
Yes, that is correct.
First off we need to find the lists.
“But Shawn how is this new? Can’t I just Google my keyword and
2. search for lists?”
I’ll do you one better.
We are going to bypass searching page after page after page for these
site owners.
We are getting a SUPER targeted list of sites that are collecting
emails and in doing so we have a way to contact them.
I am going to show you how to find these ‘hidden lists’ in Aweber
and GetResponse.
Here are the search strings that you type into Google:
site:archive.aweber.com + your keyword
4. This is the kind of page you will come to.
Pretty cool huh? That is an actual page hosted in Aweber that has all
of their emails they have sent out.
You optin on the left hand side.
I am going to show you two other ways to find these lists and then
we will go over what actually you do with these.
5. site:forms.aweber.com + your keyword
Click on any of the links. They are ALL optin forms. If you want to
know what your competition is doing, you now have a list of what
you can model your site and offers after
7. You want to set up a new email account just for these lists you are
signing up to.
I made the mistake of using my primary account and I get so many
emails daily that it drives me crazy
This method may seem simple. Don’t overlook how powerful this is.
You literally have hundreds, even thousands of lists at your
fingertips.
The best part? You don’t need to hunt and peck around Google to
find them. Those three search strings are all you need!
So now the question is what do we do with all these lists we have
found?
First, we can use all the emails we get as ideas of what to do with
our own list and our site, but better yet, WE NOW HAVE DIRECT
CONTACT WITH 1000’S OF SIMILAR BLOGS.
These untapped lists are a goldmine.
How so?
I asked a list owner if they did ‘solo ads’.
Guess what the response was.
“What is a solo ad?”
BINGO.
8. Why did that make me happy?
It shows how much we actually know compared to other marketers.
We have several options now.
We can ask for an email blast to their list, we can ask for a guest post
on their site linking back to our site or we can even go as far as ask
for a banner on their site.
Why would a site owner even entertain such an idea?
Well, you can buy a solo outright if you want to. Or if you have an
email list you can do a cross promo. Basically you ask them for an
email blast to their list and in return, you give them one to yours.
Second is a guest post. People are starving for content. And just like
the solo ad, ask for a trade.
A link for a link.
Last, the banner ad. Most likely you will have to ‘rent’ a banner
space, but you may be able to work out a sweet deal for even $5 a
month. This works best if you have your own product, but that is for
another time.
So what do we have now?
I just gave you three different search strings that we can put into
Google that will bring us 100’s if not 1000’s of virtually untapped
lists we can use.
9. Pretty slick.
Now, get to opting into these lists. Reply to the first email you get
with a small introduction. Get a conversation started. You will be
pleasantly surprised at the responses you get
