There is a need to develop strategiesfor enhance team effectiveness. The first reason is the increasing demands of the 21st century. These demands are growing in all organizations. As the demands grow on organizations, there is a structural organizational change. The change in structure puts a demand on the need to develop effective teams. Team effectiveness is important because of the amount of knowledge that the team will need to view and understand. According to D'Andrea-O'Brien and Buono (1996) ”As networks of teams replace traditional hierarchies, knowledge becomes the main organizational resource” (p. 1). Since knowledge is such an important resource, teams need to be effective to understand and use a great amount of knowledge.
