Laura Vazquez wrote a history paper about Dennis Hwang, the Google employee who was assigned to create Google logos and doodles in 1998. Hwang sketches ideas and designs the doodles digitally using graphic software. He finds the letters "O" and "L" the most fun to design while "G" is most difficult. Google does not allow users to create their own versions of the logo to avoid controversy over religious or political views.
