In commercial real estate development and investment, NOI and ROI depend on driving a powerful real estate
portfolio, facilitating cost savings, and optimizing the global real estate market. The navigation skills that go into
developing and implementing innovative real estate strategies require cutting-edge technology, such as
transactional mobility, alternative energy sources, and sustainability; and an understanding of the market.
CRE 2016 MARKET TRENDS
Retailers will increase revenue through “place-making,” innovation, expanded food-and-beverage
offerings and improved customer service.
Retail center growth will be dependent on the omni-channel retail environment. Overall, shopping center
vacancy levels will continue to decline this year, though with the pace slowing. I anticipate the number of
retail closures will rise in 2016, yet the total aggregate retail space demand will increase.
E-commerce will continue to reshape the logistics market, securing smaller in-fill locations, to streamline
delivery efficiency.
Office markets in the U.S., San Jose, Dallas, Philadelphia, Boston and Columbus will continue to
aggressively escalate rents, driven primarily by the technology sector.
