Christians have a unique voice in the same-sex marriage debate.Too many, unfortunately, would rather keep up hatred and bigotry when, in fact, homosexuality is a sin like any other and the unrepented of will face an uncomfortable judgment. As Christians we get to say you're wrong, but your loved - and then with kindness teach the truth and hopefully salvation can be received and the sinner can be brought home.

2. 2 Corinthians 5:9-11

5. 9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous[b] will not
inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived:
neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor
adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, 10
nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor
revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
1 Corinthians 6:9-11
11 And such were some of you. But you were washed,
you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of

6. A Reasonable Approach
• Christians should represent the spirit of Christ
– Ephesians 2:10 “ We are his workmanship”
– 1 Peter 2:9 “ We are a chosen people”
– Romans 12:1-2 “ A living sacrifice”
– Galatians 5:22-23 “ Humble”
– James 1:22 “ Doers of his word”
11 Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the
flesh, which wage war against your soul. 12 Keep your conduct among the Gentiles
honorable, so that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may see your good
deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation

7. A Reasonable Approach
• Taking offense doesn't equate Hate!
– Psalm 119:105 “ God’s word exposes”
– Ephesians 6:17 “God’s word is sword”
– Hebrews 4:12 “God’s word is sharp and alive”
– Matthew 24:35 “God’s word will never die”
The one who rejects me and does not receive my words
has a judge; the word that I have spoken will judge him
on the last day.

8. Those Glorious Words
• God wants all people to be saved!
– 1 Timothy 2:3-4 This is good and pleasing in the sight of
the Lord that desires ALL PEOPLE to be saved and come to
the knowledge of truth
– Acts 2:36-37 “And when they heard this , they were cut
to the heart and said men and brethren – WHAT MUST WE
DO?”
