šermukšnis užima gana
svarbią vietą. Tikima, kad
šermukšnis žmogui gali
suteikti laimę, sėkmę ir
visokeriopą gerovę. Taip pat
manoma, jog šermukšnyje
gyvena žaibas, todėl šis medis
augdamas šalia namų
apsaugo juos nuo nelaimių.
Visas šias stebuklingas galias
šermukšnis įgavo dėka labai
liūdnos istorijos.

rowan.
This tree takes quite
significant place in the
Lithuanian folklore. It is
believed that a rowan-tree
may give you happiness ,
success and ensure your well-
being. Moreover a crown of
this tree is a home for the
lightning. Therefore a rowan
growing nearby a house
protects it and the family
from the disasters. But the
origin of all these magical
strengths is connected with a
very sad story.
