Ceanothus 'Joyce Coulter' is an evergreen shrub that is a hybrid of California species, grows up to 4 feet high and 8-10 feet wide, and produces medium true-blue flowers in spring that cover its glossy green leaves. It tolerates full sun, well-drained soil, drought, and temperatures as low as 15-20 degrees Fahrenheit, and is useful for vivid spring color as a medium height ground cover, in low hedges or mixed plantings.
