Editor's Notes
I have sourced a table from the university of Canterbury, Sally Hunter a university education researcher along with Jill Tetley, from the students’ association, developed a survey of why university student do not attend their lectures, the top two reasons for not attending a lecture were ‘the need to work on other assignments’ and ‘because students couldn’t be bothered to attend’. Students also stated that they find lectures invaluable as they can source materials in other ways. This is very valuable information that should be evaluated by education departments to improve lecturing or dis guard it altogether.
