his lifetime. Never divisive, always funny and
professional he was always a safe bet by the
academy.

3. Johnny Carson
Universally well-loved, it’s no surprise he
killed it at the Academy Awards when he
hosted from 1979 - 1984

4. Billy Crystal
In a 22 year span, Billy Crystal hosted the Oscars a total
of nine times, making him a shoe-in for this list

5. Ellen Degeneres
Ellen hosted the awards in both
2007 and 2014. 2014 appearance
was very well received by audiences

6. Steve Martin
Steve hosted three times so far, and was as
silly as ever to the delight of those present.

7. Hugh Jackman
Many hosts are hurtful, but Hugh Jackman
was pure class and energy when he hosted
in 2009.
