Halloween
Halloween, also called All Halloween’s Eve holiday, is celebrated on October 31st
. It
is a secular holiday and is associated with a number activities. People celebrated it
wearing costumes, hats and masks for parties and for trick-or-treating.
Children go for trick-or-treating from house to house with the threat that they will
pull a trick if the neighbors don’t give them candies. Other symbols of Halloween
are: skeletons, black cats, witches, bats, ghosts and vampires. The Jack-o’-lantern is
another symbol: it’s a pumpkin, carved into a demonic face and lit with a candle
inside.
